Our Chair, Colin Ricks has died in hospital after a short illness, he was just 60 years old.
Colin was a longstanding activist and campaigner for Thurrock Labour and the wider trade union and Labour movement. He worked tirelessly throughout his adult life for a Labour victory.
Colin was pleased by our recent local electoral successes, particularly in his hometown of Tilbury and in Chafford Hundred.
Our heartfelt condolences go to Colin’s wife and son, and other family members.
We will provide details of Colin’s funeral when they are available.
For now Colin’s many friends in the Labour movement, and the wider Thurrock community, mourn the loss of a valued colleague and dear friend.
